Romeo, Romeo wherefore art thou?

Thanks to a long Covid-induced hiatus, a resurgence of energy – and a relaxing of Government restrictions – brought 100-plus guests from the Cape Alfa Romeo Club to FMM in mid-February. Over 50 stunning examples of the Milanese marque attended, ranging in age from the booming 1950s to the modern era cars.

On display in Hall B of FMM were 10 Alfa Romeos, including a 6C Freccia d’Oro, Montreal and RZ. The museum’s Brera, SZ, Duetto and Giulietta Spider were parked outside to celebrate the day with club members.

While all the vehicles present were stunning, some special examples stood out. In the classic era category were a Conrero Giulietta, a 105-series Giulia and Giulia Coupe from the same era, a spotless 116-series Giulietta and some GTV6s. Amongst the more modern vehicles attending were a colourful trio of club members’ 4Cs, a Brera, a Giulietta Squadra Corse, some 156 GTAs and a Giulia QV.
