GSM Christmas Picnic

On December 12 the GSM Car Club held its morning Christmas Picnic at the Franschhoek Motor Museum. The day was a great success with 32 people attending, bringing with them 16 cars ranging from GSM Darts and Flamingos to Mustangs to Ferraris – and even a Renault. Picnic baskets were pre-ordered and enjoyed by all, together with a lot of Protea wine bought at the museum. Everyone was in a good Christmas spirit after the hard lockdown. Tables were festively decorated, chairs packed in a circle and club banners displayed, which drew the attention of day visitors to the museum. Lots of questions were asked about the cars. At one stage it was quite a busy corner at Hall B. Peanuts Fouche thanked everyone who attended before tables and chairs were cleared prior to everyone heading home in time to watch the last F1 Grand Prix.

The club extends its thanks to FMM and its staff for their hospitality in making the day great. In 2022, the GSM Flamingo will be 60 years old, so, who knows,  maybe a celebration at the museum…
