24 Jun Deon departs

There is an adage that says ‘there is a time to come and a time to go’. At the end of May, FMM bade farewell to one of its long-time employees Deon De Waal, who has decided to go and enjoy his retirement. Deon certainly left his mark on the museum in many ways, but one thing we will all miss about Deon was his love of stopping to have a chat, always having a story to tell or a joke to crack. Deon is passionate about old cars and immersed himself in his work, and we wouldn’t be surprised to still see him around at the classic car shows and on race days at Killarney. Totsiens, ou grote! – Wayne Harley
