Charitable Knysna

The Knysna Motor Show held last April was a great success. A record crowd of more than 8 000 people attended and after accounting for the show’s expenses, the organising Garden Route Motor Club was able to donate R116 000 to local charities, namely the Knysna and Sedgefield Hospice, Knysna Animal Welfare, E-PAP (NPO feeding scheme for underprivileged children), FAMSA (NPO specialising in relationship counselling), Epilepsy, BADISA (child protection organisation), Change for Change (looking after a group of destitute families) and the Sea Cadets. Over the past eight years, the motor show has donated in excess of R500 000 to Knysna charities.
