PACKARD 120 CONVERTIBLE COUPE
THE HISTORY

A New Packard with Air Conditioning To Boot
In 1940 Packard restyled his cars once again. The main difference between the new model and the previous year’s models was the narrower traditional Packard radiator grille and two smaller grilles either side. The Junior range was renamed – the Six was now called the 110 and the Eight the 120. The Super Eight could be had as a 160 or a very luxurious 180. In 1940 Packard became the first car manufacturer to offer air conditioning as optional equipment. The air conditioner’s condenser took up considerable boot space, so only a few of the air conditioned 1940’s were sold.
